Purpose of Creating the Blog

Today I have started my blog for many purposes.  I am a techie.  Always have and always will be.  Technical Theater is a huge part of who and I am and what I want to do for the rest of my life.  I have a grand amount of interest in lighting design and scenic design, and currently I know that will be the main amount of content I put out.  I know that right now in my life I want to be a designer because I know I am the type of person who likes to find the deeper meanings in something that appears at first very simple, and with being a designer I get to create those meaning for someone else to find.  Lastly, I have heard the of the "10,000-Hour Rule", claiming that the key to success in any field is, to a large extent, a matter of practicing a specific task for a total of around 10,000 hours, mentioned by Malcolm Gladwell in his book the Outliers, and I hope that someday I will surpass the 10,000 hours of working on some form of design.
